Born in Modena in 1979, Marino has worked as an illustrator and drawing teacher for many years. He has published graphic novels Il re dei fiumi (Kappa Edizioni, 2008), La coda del lupo (Canicola Edizioni, 2011) and Cosmo (Coconino Press-Fandango, 2016), which have been translated and published in many countries. In 2012 he won the Nuove Strade award from Naples Comicon and Centro Fumetto Andrea Pazienza as best emerging talent. He has held exhibitions all over Europe. Marino’s drawings have appeared on the covers of Feltrinelli and Piemme Edizioni books and been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, from Internazionale to Le Monde. Oblomov Edizioni released his fourth graphic novel, L'incanto del parcheggio multipiano in autumn 2018.
